Cadillac Series 61 #68--Are 1076

The American Bill Sterling, paired with Royal, was one of the protagonists of the first Carrera held in 1950. His very fast Cadillac which, despite the regulation, had been significantly prepared, was able to reach average speeds well above the maximum declared by the manufacturer. He won the first and third stages and was in contention until the eighth stage for the final victory, retiring due to mechanical failure.
