1979 is the year of the debut of the long tail version of the 512 BB made by Ferrari and bodied by Pininfarina. The car is particularly aerodynamic and, theoretically, high-performing thanks to the 12 cylinder motor. The team of the French importer Charles Pozzi took care of the first outing at the 24 Hours of Daytona and now presents itself at its home race in France with two cars. The #62 is driven by Andruet and Dini and will not finish the race due to engine problems. Chassis # 26681

Thanks to the collaboration with BBR of Saronno, leaders in the production of Ferrari models for years, we have the opportunity to use their model to create a series of 512 BB long tails. The first group of the new series completes the line that BBR itself, in the Gasoline brand, had produced a few years ago. Our model has received some modifications thanks to modern technologies aimed at integrating some additional details. Particular attention has been paid to the cockpit and the mechanical parts, while other changes have been carried out through the creation of new photo-etched parts. All models are available both assembled and in kit form.
